With images of another young president and his wife dressed to the nines at a White House event still fresh in the public's mind, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum announced today that it was displaying the pink silk dress worn by Jacqueline Kennedy at a 1962 White House staff Christmas party.
The silk Radzimir Givenchy dress was added Monday to the First Lady Exhibit at the museum, a spokeswoman said. Mrs. Kennedy wore the dress at a Dec. 12, 1962, staff reception attended by 1,200 guests.
President Obama and his wife hosted his administration's first state dinner last night, welcoming Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India.
