Operation Christmas Child

St. Paul’s Lutheran School students participated in the Operation Christmas Child program this year.  Students were given boxes to pack full of items for needy children around the world.  Each student also included a New Testament donated by the Gideons.    The Operation Christmas Child program distributes food and clothing along with the gift boxes.  The goal of the program is to not only help the children physically, but also to share the message of Jesus Christ and help them spiritually as well.  Last year gift boxes were delivered to 7.9 million children across the world.

The students at St. Paul’s School watched a video showing the boxes being delivered to children during the 2008 Christmas season before they sent their boxes off to be delivered.  The students really enjoyed being able to help other children around the world have a better Christmas filled with the saving Gospel message of Jesus Christ.
