This year the army is urging members of the public not to send unnamed parcels as Christmas gifts they are holding up those sent by family and friends.
Although presents from members of the public boosts morale, they also cause big delays to personal mail.
Non-family members wanting to send gifts to the troops are urged to go through the charity 'uk4u'.
