Bulgaria's Cabinet cuts costs by sending no Christmas cards this year
Prime Minister Boiko Borissov has ordered the Cabinet administration to cut costs on the upcoming Christmas and New Year's Eve holidays.
This means that this year, the Government will not spend any money on printing promotional materials, such as calendars and postcards, or gifts and receptions.
The reason for the cuts, according to a statement on the Government's website, is to avoid unreasonable spending.
Borissov's order includes all chairpersons of commissions and agencies within the frame of Cabinet administration as well as the Government's Lozenets hospital in Sofia.
Borissov urged the rest of the Cabinet ministers and state agency heads that rely on Budget funding to also restrain themselves from unreasonable spending.
