SAVIOUR MONEY

They are the 12 must-have toys of Christmas - but they could leave parents feeling like a turkey if they don't shop around.
Our investigation today shows prices yo-yo dramatically from store to store with some great bargains to be had.
Top of the list is the Go Go Pets Hamster which costs £9.95 at John Lewis - two-thirds less than amazon.co.uk's £29.95. Surprisingly, the upmarket department store was also cheaper than Tesco for eight out of nine toys among the Toy Retailers Association's mighty 12.
Parents buying all nine from Tesco would splash out £234.30 compared with a John Lewis bill of almost £23 less at £211.40. With families set to lavish an average £228 on toys for their children this festive season, Sally Whittle, of Great Toy Guide, said: "This Christmas will be an interesting one. The winners will be the customers."
We took the shopping list to five leading High Street and online names - amazon, Argos, John Lewis, Tesco and Toys R Us. Only nine were available at all the chains with Toys R Us the cheapest at £204.19 for the lot - £59 cheaper than amazon.
John Lewis was the second best at £211.40, Tesco third with £234.30 and Argos fourth with £246.45. Amazon's bill was £263.29 with its £29.99 Lego Minotaurus twice as dear as Toys R Us.
